Indonesian Journal of Communication and Social (IJOCIAL) focuses on the following areas
Audiovisual: media management, film and media arts, mass media communication (hegemony and media, digital media), Da'wah communication (media and religion), marketing communication (strategic communication and information management), advertising and persuasion management.
Journalism: media literacy and communication, media and development, political communication (media and identity, conflict and crisis communication), war/peace journalism, and global journalism.
Public Relations: organizational communication, sociology of communication (social media and substructure), anthropology of communication (gender and sexuality, popular culture and society, queer and media), psychology of communication, and public relations crisis.
Indonesian Journal of Communication and Social (IJOCIAL) started publication in 2024 with a frequency of twice a year, in March and September.
